| "Come On Let's Celebrate" Watercolor Winner of the Florida Hospice Art Contest 2006 |
" Art is like life when it is good it's a Celebration"
Recently a Hospice organization ran a contest with the theme "Celebration".
I thought about it for a while and remembered the sea gulls at the local beach
that were so excited when they found lost items. I decided to use the gulls as
an expression of "Celebration" with their ribbons and gleeful delight. I used
bright colors and contrasting values to bring the sky alive as a backdrop for the
gulls. I am happy to say that the above watercolor painting was chosen to be
the theme of the Hospice Gala.
I try to approach all my painting with bright cheerful colors and subject matter
that makes you feel good. I hope you enjoy my paintings on this web site.
